OLL Men's Club and Women's Club
Every year the Men's and Women's Club at Our Lady of the Lake work together to make our Annual Yard Sale a huge fundraiser for our parish. They collect items for many weeks, then sort them and price them and prepare them for the big day. It takes so many volunteers to make this happen! Look for this to happen around the end of June each year!
A note about the June 2023 Yard Sale...
The annual OLL Yard Sale was held in conjunction with the Women’s Club on Saturday June 24th and after the masses on the 24th and on the 25th until 1:00 PM. It was a great success! We had nice weather and an excellent turnout of customers and volunteers, along with a very good inventory of donated items for sale. We streamlined the collection of donations from 2 months down to 3 weeks, allowing us to fully process and price items as they came in; which improved efficiency, reduced workload, and enhanced fellowship for all.
The resulting financial results exceeded expectations and will help fund both the Men’s and Women’s Clubs’ worthy causes which support parish needs and our youth. This outstanding result was achieved through the hard work and contributions of many, and we want to thank the many Men’s Club members who helped. This includes setting-up, doing pick-ups and deliveries, processing and pricing drop-offs, working the sale, and helping with the clean-up.
The Men’s Club really stepped up in force and performed tremendously well as a team; something we can all be proud of. We certainly proved that “many hands make light work”. Things went smoothly; the clean-up was quick and efficient, as we put many nice items back into the local community through the nearby donation centers that we brought them to; the results were excellent; and we enjoyed each other’s company in the process.
We had a great year, which gives us a firm foundation to build upon and improve further for next year. We look forward to even more of you joining us then!
